The CEA (Consumer Electronics Association) just released the 2011 edition of their "Five Technology Trends to Watch", an annual publication that examines five important technology trends expected to influence the consumer electronics industry in the year ahead.

In this edition, the report examines these five subjects: 1 - technology and privacy, 2 - the future of video distribution and consumption, 3 - mobile broadband and 4G, 4 - green technology - smart energy, and finally, 5 - the future of the "app".

Just a warning...the report is 34 pages long, but it does make for some interesting reading and gives some educated thought about the trends we may experience moving forward. There is also a section dedicated to the question: Are we changing technology to suit our needs, or is technology changing us? Hmmm...a good question...
