The Most Beautiful In-Wall iPad Mount Yet - Flush With the Wall

The whole world seems to be in love with the iPad, including home automation manufacturers. Four of the big names in home automation / smart home controls: Crestron, AMX, Control4, and Savant, have applications to use an iPad as the touchscreen interface to control your home’s subsystems (audio/video, lighting controls, security, climate, surveillance cameras, pool/spa, etc). For Savant home automation, the only available touchscreen controls that make their system work are Apple products: the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch.

With that in mind, the folks at TRUFIG have come up with another masterpiece that every Interior Designer and fan of beautiful interior architecture should love; a flush mounting system for the iPad!

Like all other TRUFIG products (see more info on TRUFIG here: www.dsientertainment.com/trufig and TRUFIG blog posts), their iPad mounting system fits completely flush with the finished wall surface. No unsightly bezel that protrudes from the wall. Besides conventional drywall, TRUFIG makes mounting systems to work with wood and stone finished wall, too. The flush TRUFIG bezel can then be painted or wall papered to match the wall’s finish, including faux painting to match sophisticated finishes.

This mounting system, along with the iPort wall-mounted iPad solution we reported on back in October 2010, are meant for semi-permanent installations. In other words, it is not a quick-disconnect “dock” like is commonly used with iPhone and iPods.
