Oh how my house is chock full of Apple chargers taking up every available socket in my house. We have 4 iPads, 2 iPhones, 2 iPod Touches, and 2 plain jane iPods. This makes for a grand total of 10 outlets sucked up with chargers. I could put a hideous power strip on my kitchen countertop, but I may have found my elegant solution to this problem.

RCA to the rescue. You remember them? The dog staring into the gramaphone? They're the company that used to dominate the world of console televisions and DirecTV boxes. Now they make...uh...ummm. I have no idea what they do now but they just won a CES Innovation Award for this brilliant little device that takes a duplex outlet and turns it into a fatter outlet with 2 USB ports built in. This means I can either get rid of those ugly walwarts or use a single duplex to charge 3 of my Apple devices. Yes, the fatter outlet flies in the face of January 13th's blog post on getting rid of wall shadows, but hey, you can use these outlets in the less public areas of your house.
