Best Home Theater & Most Extreme Makeover Crestron Awards to DSI
DSI Entertainment Systems is only one of three custom audio integration firms to win two Crestron awards in the same year
Los Angeles - December 9, 2010 - DSI Entertainment Systems, a Los Angeles-based custom audio video installation company specializing in custom home theaters, media rooms, and home automation systems wins both the ‘Home Sweet Home Theater’ and ‘Most Extreme Makeover’ in Crestron's annual Integration Awards contest. Crestron's Integration Awards recognize the best home automation and control system installations internationally. Crestron is the largest manufacturer of home automation / smarthome control systems for both residential and commercial applications. DSI Entertainment Systems were winners of Crestron’s ‘Best Integrated Home System’ award in 2009, ‘Most Creative Graphic User Interface (touchscreen design)’ in 2008 and ‘Most Extreme Makeover’ award in 2006.
DSI Entertainment Systems was awarded ‘Home Sweet Home Theater’ for an advanced home theater design in Los Angeles using Crestron home theater and control system technologies in order to deliver a superior home cinema experience. Crestron's innovative DVPHD video processor allows up to four video images on one screen simultaneously; and two Crestron touch panel remote controls offer intuitive control of the home theater's multiple video sources. A 15" touch panel motorizes out of a custom niche built between two of the theater seats, and a smaller 6" touch panel can be used throughout the room for control from any of the eight theater seats.
The ‘Most Extreme Makeover’ project was awarded for a major renovation project in Beverly Hills, California. The estate features a large Crestron home automation system controlling the home's automated lighting, climate, motorized shades & drapery, pool & spa, and house-wide audio video systems. The custom programmed in-wall and wireless touch panels give the user quick and intuitive access to all of the home’s subsystems from all major rooms in the home including any Internet connected computer via Crestron’s secure e-control web browser control software.
